David Shaw is a mostly self-taught artist who paints in oils and watercolours; however, he participated in a part-time, catch-up course at the Leith School of Art in early 2021.

He has squeezed drawing and painting in his life now and then from childhood, properly focussing on painting (as his third career) in the last few years. 

While still experimenting and developing his technique, David loves landscape, seascape and colour, the texture of oil paint and the immediacy of water colour.  He is delighted to receive commissions and has recently completed an African wildlife landscape, portraits and abstract paintings for clients.
